Seated Low Back Extension

Target: Low Back
Position: Seated
Count 1 rep after extending chest up and spine back behind hips

  1. Sit upright on chair or support structure

  2. Cross arms over chest

  3. Tuck chin through stretch

  4. Lift chest up and arch upper spine up and back behind hips

  5. Squeeze shoulder blades together while extending spine

  6. Progression: Extend spine farther up and back behind hips to increase stretch
