Arm Out to Side Palm Up

LEFT

Target: Left Arm, Shoulder, Chest
Position: Standing or Seated
Count 1 rep when arms return to neutral

  1. Extend spine in upright posture

  2. Reach left arm out front at shoulder height with hand open and thumb to the ceiling

  3. Keep left elbow extended through stretch

  4. Reach left arm back and rotate palm up with thumb back and down

  5. Keep shoulders from lifting or rolling forward through stretch

  6. Progression: Vary arm heights to increase stretch in left arm

RIGHT

Target: Right Arm, Shoulder, Chest
Position: Standing or Seated
Count 1 rep when arms return to neutral

  1. Stand or sit in upright posture

  2. Reach right arm out front at shoulder height with hand open and thumb to the ceiling

  3. Keep right elbow extended through stretch

  4. Reach right arm back and rotate palm up with thumb back and down

  5. Keep shoulders from lifting or rolling forward through stretch

  6. Progression: Vary arm heights to increase stretch in right arm
