SMFR Lateral Shoulder

LEFT

Target: Left Arm, Shoulder, Mid Back
Position: Lying on Side

  1. Lie on left side with left arm overhead and palm up

  2. Start with roller on back of shoulder alongside upper left shoulder blade

  3. Place right hand on ground for support

  4. Shift body up and down to move roller along Latissimus (back, outside shoulder) region

  5. Change body angle forward and back on roller to address different sections of muscle

  6. Move in 1 inch increments with muscle fully relaxed

  7. Hold any tender spot for 10-15 seconds

RIGHT

Target: Right Arm, Shoulder, Mid Back
Position: Lying on Side

  1. Lie on right side with right arm overhead and palm up

  2. Start with roller on back of shoulder alongside upper right shoulder blade

  3. Place left hand on ground for support

  4. Shift body up and down to move roller along Latissimus (back, outside shoulder) region

  5. Change body angle forward and back on roller to address different sections of muscle

  6. Move in 1 inch increments with muscle fully relaxed

  7. Hold any tender spot for 10-15 seconds
