Oblique Neck Flexion

LEFT

Target: Left Neck
Position: Seated or Standing
Count 1 rep after bringing head down to side

  1. Sit or stand in upright posture looking straight ahead

  2. Rotate head to left and bring right ear to right chest

  3. Keep left shoulder down through stretch

  4. Progression: Place right hand behind top of left side of forehead and gently pull head down to right, to increase stretch in back side of left neck

RIGHT

Target: Right Neck
Position: Seated or Standing
Count 1 rep after bringing head down to side

  1. Sit or stand in upright posture looking straight ahead

  2. Rotate head to right and bring left ear to left chest

  3. Keep right shoulder down through stretch

  4. Progression: Place left hand behind top of right side of forehead and gently pull head down to left, to increase stretch in back side of right neck
