Lying Straight Leg Hamstring (Strap)

LEFT

Target: Left Leg, Knee, Hip, Hamstring
Position: Lying on Back
Count 1 rep after lifting leg towards hip

  1. Lie on back with legs straight

  2. Loop strap around left foot and in left hand (or both hands)

  3. Keep right leg straight and pressed into ground

  4. Contract left thigh to keep knee straight and lift leg off ground towards chest

  5. Keep low back arched and do not press into ground

  6. Pull strap to increase leg height and thigh tension to increase stretch

RIGHT

Target: Right Leg, Knee, Hip, Hamstring
Position: Lying on Back
Count 1 rep after lifting leg towards hip

  1. Lie on back with legs straight

  2. Loop strap around right foot and in right hand (or both hands)

  3. Keep left leg straight and pressed into ground

  4. Contract right thigh to keep knee straight and lift leg off ground towards chest

  5. Keep low back arched and do not press into ground

  6. Pull strap to increase leg height and thigh tension to increase stretch
