Hip Straight Leg Cross Body (Strap)

LEFT

Target: Left Leg, Hip, Hamstring, Glute
Position: Lying on Back
Count 1 rep after bringing leg across body

  1. Sit in an upright posture on floor

  2. Place strap around left foot and hold strap with right hand

  3. Lie on back with both legs fully extended

  4. Contract left groin and bring left leg across body towards right shoulder

  5. Keep right hip on floor with leg straight and turned inward

  6. Pull strap with right hand to increase stretch in left hip/hamstring

  7. Progression: Use left groin and right hand to bring left leg farther across body

RIGHT

Target: Right Leg, Hip, Hamstring, Glute
Position: Lying on Back
Count 1 rep after bringing leg across body

  1. Sit in an upright posture on floor

  2. Place strap around right foot and hold strap with left hand

  3. Lie on back with both legs fully extended

  4. Contract right groin and bring right leg across body towards left shoulder

  5. Keep left hip on floor with leg straight and turned inward

  6. Pull strap with left hand to increase stretch in right hip/hamstring

  7. Progression: Use right groin and left hand to bring right leg farther across body
