SMFR Back of Shoulder (With Ball)

LEFT

Target: Left Arm, Shoulder
Position: Standing

  1. Face away from wall with left arm and elbow across midline of body to the right

  2. Place ball at wall and at back of left shoulder area

  3. Lean back into ball to apply pressure to muscle region

  4. Shift body up and down, and left to right to move ball around muscle regions

  5. Bring left arm down into/across body and then away from body overhead at a 45° angle to shoulder to increase release

  6. Move in 1 inch increments with muscle fully relaxed

  7. Hold any tender spot for 10-15 seconds

RIGHT

Target: Right Arm, Shoulder
Position: Standing

  1. Face away from wall with right arm and elbow across midline of body to the left

  2. Place ball at wall and at back of right shoulder area

  3. Lean back into ball to apply pressure to muscle region

  4. Shift body up and down, and left to right to move ball around muscle regions

  5. Bring right arm down into/across body and then away from body overhead at a 45° angle to shoulder to increase release

  6. Move in 1 inch increments with muscle fully relaxed

  7. Hold any tender spot for 10-15 seconds
